BICENTENNIAL PARK, TAMWORTH

Peter Hooper, This sculpture stands as a dual tribute: to the role of the guitar in country music, and to the original series of guitar assemblages by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. It is located in Bicentennial Park, adjacent to Tamworth’s main outdoor performance space by the banks of the Peel River, a place where the guitar is an integral part of many concerts held during Country Music Week and throughout the year.
