Photography and visual arts. Spanning both digital and film, my artistic focus is on portraiture, architecture, street and landscapes, while my professional activities include portraiture & headshots, architecture & real estate, weddings & events, food & beverage and commercial.
ARTIST STATEMENT
If Sontag is to be believed, "the camera makes reality atomic": Meaning that through photography, the world becomes a series of unrelated, freestanding particles. Except, that's not how I see it. The world through my photography is a series of interrelated, emotionally-laden collections of pixels and inks. As a flâneur, I observe, I document, I seek to interact and I seek to relay not just my thoughts and feelings associated with the world and its inhabitants, but to invoke strong and strange feelings in those who view my work. As I see it, the world and its inhabitants are a series of particular particulates arranged via patterns, connected both knowingly and unknowingly through this thing we call life. I seek to float above, beside or within these patterns and reflect them back upon the viewer, to stimulate, provoke and elicit emotion.
