ARTIST STATEMENT

Patricia Petersen is both a visual artist and educator. She has drawn and painted all her life. Her art is a ever changing and evolving and that is how she wants it to continue. Experimenting with different mediums such as Asian inks and western paints to express her feelings about the landscape around her or an imagined one is her constant challenge. This is partly driven by her concern for the environment.

RECOGNITION

EDUCATION/TRAINING
Patricia has varied qualifications and work experiences. She has a Master of Letters and Visual Arts and Design, a BA with a major an Art and History, a Graduate Degree in Adult Education and Training and a Certificate Four in Education and Training.

EXHIBITIONS
She has exhibited in many group exhibitions and her latest exhibition was ‘The Space Between’ was in Sept/Oct at the Gunnedah Art Precinct. Her next exhibition will be at 126 Gallery Armidale in
November 2020.

AWARDS
She has received a baritone awards in regional art competitions.
