Australian Country Music Hall of Fame

Australian Country Music Hall of Fame

In 1994 the Australian Country Music Foundation Inc. was established in the former Mechanics Institute.

In 2016 the museum moved to the present site at 561 Peel Street near the Murray and Peel Street intersection.

The museum is an archive/resource centre preserving Australian and New Zealand country music history displaying original stage costumes, instruments, recordings, photographs, publications and memorabilia of our past and present generations of country music artists.

The Country Music Hall of Fame on behalf of Tamworth Regional Council announce the inductees to the Hands of Fame, Broadcasters & Eric Watson Literary Awards during the annual Country Music Festival in January.

The “Walk A Country Mile” is incorporated within the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum.
